3. Copyright and Content Policy

Iktibas is a platform that allows users to quote from books and upload PDF files. The following principles apply regarding content responsibility:

3.1. User Responsibility

You are solely responsible for the copyrights and licenses of the PDF files you upload or link to, and the quotes you create. Iktibas does not verify the legal status of user-uploaded content and cannot be held responsible for such content.

3.2. Platform Responsibility

Iktibas is merely a content hosting and sharing platform. The platform is not responsible for the content, licenses, or copyrights of PDF files uploaded by users. However, we initiate necessary legal procedures when we receive copyright infringement notifications.

3.3. Fair Use

When quoting, you are expected to comply with the "fair use" principles permitted by copyright laws. Short quotes, criticism, commentary, and educational uses are generally within the scope of fair use.

3.4. Copyright Infringement Notice

If you believe your copyright has been infringed, you can contact us at info@iktibas.app with the following information:

• Copyright owner's identification
• Description of the infringed work
• Location of the infringing content on the platform (URL)
• Statement of good faith belief
• Declaration of accuracy under penalty of perjury

4. Service Terms

Iktibas provides the following services:

• Saving and editing quotes from books
• Uploading or linking PDF files
• Categorizing and searching quotes
• Creating personal reading spaces
• Sharing content with other users (optional)

4.1. Service Availability

We strive to provide our services without interruption, but temporary outages may occur due to maintenance, updates, or technical issues. We accept no liability in such cases.

4.2. Service Modifications

Iktibas reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate its services, features, and these terms of service without prior notice.

5. Account Termination

Your account may be terminated in the following situations:

• Violation of terms of service
• Copyright infringement
• Engaging in spam or abuse activities
• Harming other users
• Voluntarily deleting your account

5.1. Account Deletion and Data

When you delete your account, all your data is permanently removed from the system. This action is irreversible.

6. Disclaimer of Liability

Iktibas accepts no liability for:

• Accuracy and legality of user-uploaded content
• Content and licenses of third-party PDF files
• Data loss resulting from service interruptions
• Disputes between users
• Legal issues arising from copyright infringement

6.1. Limitation of Liability

Iktibas cannot be held liable for indirect, incidental, or special damages arising from the use of services. Total liability is limited to fees paid (if any) in the last 12 months.

7. GDPR and KVKK Compliance

7.1. Data Rights

8. Applicable Law
